An international attractive location with a 70-year tradition
The “Chemistry and industrial park Zeitz” is an international accepted, economically successful location. It sprang from the former hydrogenation plant Zeitz as an completely newly developed industry area in 1996. 1.100 jobs have arisen newly on the approx. 230 hectares area till now, the industrial park will count around 2.000 employees at a completely utilization.

Modular compound systems with most modern standards
More than 87 million euros were invested in the ultra-modern infrastructure of the industrial park till now.
Very efficient systems have arisen completely newly. Today the site is largely revitalised, completely improved and developed and is connected to the trunk road and motorway network. More than half of the available areas have been sold to investors and there is a large variety of business sectors.
The development of the area into an industrial location for large-scale chemical and industrial plants places high requirements on supply and disposal.
The technological plants represent most modern international standards and meet the expectations of demanding investors.

Service from a hand
While the enterprises are concentrating on their core business, the location has an extensive service offering ready.
So the “Chemistry and industrial park Zeitz” provides with electrical energy, natural gas, drinking-, service-, industrial-, cooling- and deionised water, hydrogen, steam, compressed air and nitrogen for the operation of the plants depending on need. Besides that it has an extensive engineering, technical/industrial and commercial service ready. For the transport there is a well developed road and rail network.

Innovation and competitiveness
As part of the cluster strategy of the Federal State Saxony-Anhalt for reinforcing the spirit of innovation and competitiveness, the prospects now are based on the settlement of companies who use renewable resources in an industrial way.
In 2006 the “Competence Centre for Industrial Recycling of Biomass” was established. The aim of this is to drive projects forward in order to implement R&D results in the large technical production.
