Bayer Bitterfeld GmbH – a 100%subsidiary of the Bayer AG – is a young organization at the traditional chemistry location Bitterfeld-Wolfen in Saxony-Anhalt. Bayer Bitterfeld GmbH was founded at the end of 1991 when Bayer AG bought 52 hectares of fallow land. All together Bayer has invested more than 630 million euro up to date. Since 1994 four plants have been set into operation. Bayer Bitterfeld GmbH is a pharmaceutical company and also the operator of the Industrial Park Bayer Bitterfeld. Medicines such as Aspirin®, Alka-Seitzer®, Talcid® and Aleve® are manufactured here.
The area of the Industrial Park is a self-contained industrial zone. It has a fully developed infrastructure. It’s an ideal site for new companies to settle down and to focus on their own business. The operator of Bayer Industrial Park Bitterfeld will handle infrastructural facilities like efficient security management, recruitment of well-skilled personnel and other purposes for administration. And also in the region of Bitterfeld many different specialized companies working to complete the service for production. Modern railroad networks, autobahns, railway and the airport Leipzig near the Industrial Park are good terms for transportation.
